With consulting, design, management and construction services, MWH assists our clients with industrial processes and manufacturing production facilities in the sectors of steel and non-ferrous metal plants, pulp and paper mills, food processing plants, and others. We provide full-service consulting, engineering and construction expertise for the global mining industry. Our primary service lines for the mining industry include: environmental planning, permitting and compliance; hydro geological, geochemical, hydrologic and water quality services; mine water supply, management and treatment; civil and geotechnical infrastructure development; ecological services and natural resource management; mine waste management, reclamation and closure; hydropower and energy; and contaminated site remediation. MWH will design, develop and implement ISO 14001-based environmental management systems, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and BS 8800-based health and safety management systems.

Marine and Port Facilities, Canals & Locks
In designing, managing and building marine and port facilities, including ports, locks, canals, sea outfalls, coastal facilities, shoreline protection and channel deepening, our professionals provide hydroelectric and hydraulic engineering services; construction management services; design and rehabilitation of navigation locks and dam plans; and navigational channels and dredging operations management. 

Highways, Bridges and Roads
Servicing our clients relating to the design, construction and maintenance of transportation facilities including roads and highways, bridges, and mass transit, is crucial to our commitment to the wet infrastructure sector. We assist in the management of road networks; develop strategic plans; supervise network maintenance; provide construction management; transportation engineering; bridge inspections, rehabilitation and replacement; highway lighting design; traffic engineering and modeling; surveys and mapping; noise and air quality studies; and social and environmental impact assessments for our clients.  In addition, we provide expertise in determining transportation structure performance over time by examining a variety of operational, strategic, environmental, cultural and financial criteria. We have particular expertise in developing traffic, noise and air quality impact studies, as well as in building roads in environmentally sensitive areas and earthquake-prone regions.

General Building
With expertise in civil and structural engineering, MWH provides site development; utility design and earthwork; permitting and regulatory support; as well as foundation and structural design and evaluations for commercial buildings, offices, stores, educational, healthcare, correctional and other facilities. MWH's mechanical and electrical engineering expertise includes heating, ventilating and air-conditioning design and commission; central chilled water system design; and fire protection system design. Our site development services include geological surveys investigation; geophysical site investigation; geotechnical exploration and testing; earthquake engineering; seismic foundation design; and quarry inspections and investigations. Our MWH expertise in architecture includes capabilities in programming studies, building design (new and renovation), landscape architecture, and building condition surveys. 

Airports
We provide program management, asset management and other professional services related to the design, construction and renovation of airports. In the renovation of airports, MWH manages the demolition of buildings, the cleanup of environmental problems, and the removal and recycling of runways and aprons. Regarding the development of new airports, MWH provides the design of buildings, runways and other infrastructure; site development, permitting and regulatory support; and construction and program management services.
